B-Wing Starfighter

Like my A-Wing Interceptor, this ship was created back in 2002 to be part of a diorama that I have still not started work on. It is intended to be Ten Nunb's personal ship.

Parts: POTJ B-wing fighter. The decals were set aside. The pilot was replaced with my own custom Ten Nunb figure.

Supplies: Emery board or file, butane lighter, brushes, Testors paints and Testors Dull-Cote.

Reference: I used my own ideas for this project.

The inside of the cockpit was detailed black, grey, aluminum and steel. The pilot's seat was painted brown. The landing gear was painted steel and aluminum and then given several dark washes. A few of the access panels were painted a slightly different color to indicate that they had been replaced. The large air intakes were painted steel and then scorched with a butane lighter. A lot of the edges were drybrushed with aluminum-colored paint to show where paint had been chipped off. The guns and engines were painted steel and detailed with aluminum, dark grey and oxidized metal. The entire ship was then given a light coat of Testors Dull-Cote. Several washes of very thinned out black paint were applied to show oil leaks and general wear & tear. Scratches were made with a hobby knife and then filled in with aluminum-colored paint. Scorches were applied with a butane lighter. Dull-Cote was applied liberally to every part of the ship, except the cockpit windscreen. Finally, I added the Ten Nunb figure I had made as the ship's pilot.
