Booster Terrik was a close friend of Wedge Antilles' family. When Wedge's parents were killed by space pirates, Booster helped young Wedge hunt down the responsible parties. Booster had a long history of avoiding the long arm of the law. That ended when Corellian Security Inspector Hal Horn caught up to Booster and sent him to the spice mines of Kessel for five long years. Shortly after his release from Kessel, Booster discovered that his daughter Mirax had become romantically involved with Rogue Squadron pilot Corran Horn, the son of the man who sent him to Kessel. Although it took quite a while, Booster eventually accepted Corran and the two joined forces to find Mirax when she had been kidnapped by the Invids, a space pirate organization. During one of his many adventures, Booster commandeered an Imperial Star Destroyer and used it to aid Rogue Squadron. He kept the ship, painted it bright red and re-named it the Errant Venture. Years later, when the Yuuzhan Vong attacked the Jedi Academy at Yavin IV, Booster's forces participated in the rescue effort. Afterward, he housed Luke Skywalker's Jedi Trainees aboard the Errant Venture, providing a sort of mobile training site.
Parts: Head (Korso from Titan AE), Torso (Korso from Titan AE), Arms (Korso from Titan AE), Legs (Korso from Titan AE), Jacket (Han Solo from the Princess Leia Collection 2-pack), Blaster (any).
Supplies: X-acto knife, super glue, brushes, Testors paints and Testors Dull-Cote.
Reference: I used descriptions from the X-Wing novels and pictures of him from the Union comic series by Dark Horse.
Step One: To begin with, I cut the boots off and trimmed a little bit from them. Then I glued them back on. Booster is supposed to be a tall man, but the existing figure was just too tall.
Step Two: I found a blaster I liked and cut it off at the proper angle. I then used a little bit of super glue to attach it to the holster so that the weapon appears to be in the holster.
Step Three: I painted the pants grey and the shirt white. I used brown for the gunbelt and holster and a bit of silver for the belt buckle. I used very dark brown for the hair.
Step Four: I applied a coat of Testors Dull-Cote and allowed him to dry.
Step Five: Finally, I added the soft-goods Han Solo jacket.
