Vedain (Nikto Skiff Pilot)

Vedain was one of Jabba the Hutt's skiff pilots. He was piloting the prisoner's skiff on the day Jabba set out to feed Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Chewbacca to the Sarlacc. During the ensuing fight, Vedain fell into the Sarlacc and was assumed to have been digested.

Parts: Head (Nikto), Torso (Klaatu), Arms (Klaatu), Hands (Nikto), Legs (Klaatu), Force Pike (any).

Supplies: X-acto knife, file or emery board, super glue, brushes, Testors paints and Testors Dull-Cote.

Step One: I began by removing the Klaatu head and replacing it with the Nikto head.

Step Two: Next, I cut off the Klaatu hands and super glued the Nikto hands in their place.

Step Three: I painted the shirt white and the pants light grey.

Step Four: I applied a dark wash to the entire figure. This was done to bring out more of the sculpted detail, as well as to simulate general wear of the clothing.

Step Five: I applied a coat of Testors Dull-Cote to seal the paint and remove the shine.
